Riverside Baptist Church is a unique congregation. From the church's earliest beginnings, both laity and clergy have sought to understand God's will and the teachings of Jesus Christ with an open mind. The uniqueness of Riverside Baptist Church is most visible in the Sanctuary, a structure that, itself, influences the mode and demeanor of worship and tradition.

The Congregation has always been Baptist. Members of Riverside Baptist Church financially support the mission endeavors of the Southern Baptist Convention, Alliance of Baptists and Cooperative Baptist Fellowships. Frequently, Riverside Baptist Church cooperates with churches of other denominations in special community worship services and in mission projects throughout Jacksonville.

Just as Jesus came "not to be ministered to, but to minister...", so our responsibility is to reach out in service to others, both within the church family and outside our fellowship. Our goal is to encourage and provide every member of Riverside Baptist Church with the opportunity to serve others. Members of Riverside Baptist Church participate in hands-on ministry through these local organizations.
