The Preschool Department is for infants through five years of age.  This class provides an engaging learning environment where the Bible story is told through play activities and crafts.

Children’s Department – Room 311

The Children’s Department is for first through fifth grade.  Part of each class period is devoted to a lesson and part to a craft or game activity.  A monthly newsletter is sent to parents, which contains information about upcoming events.

Youth Department – Room 304

The Youth Department is for sixth through twelfth grade.  This class utilizes group discussions in order to communicate the themes of the lesson for the week.

Adult I – Room 307

Adult I is a diverse group of men and women who engage in discussion of how scripture applies both to individuals and to Christ’s church.  Diversity in personal interest and careers informs the class discussions tremendously.

Lanier Class – Room 212

This is a class of men and women, both couples and singles, of various ages. They enjoy interactive discussions between the teacher and class regarding the scripture, its historical context, and its relevance to their lives.

Contemporary Issues With a Biblical Perspective – Library

This is an intergenerational discussion group exploring contemporary issues from a biblical perspective.

Kingdom Builders – Room 101

This is an active class of men and women who enjoy discussion and individual participation.  The class holds social events periodically.  They support projects throughout the year.

Golden Circle – Room 208

Established in 1944, this is one of our long-standing classes.  This class utilizes a variety of teachers and has class officers to direct activities and projects.  Two socials are held per year.  This class has a strong emphasis on inreach as well as outreach, supporting its members during difficult times.  This is our only women’s class.

C. Earl Cooper – Room 210
Education Building, Main Level
Teachers: Emmet Ferguson, Gaines Lee, German Vivas

Named for Riverside Baptist Church’s pastor emeritus, this is our only men’s class.  It is also known as the Men’s Forum Class.  This class is the sponsor of the annual Christmas party for the Baptist Home for Children.  The class is designed to be lead by a teacher with limited discussion.
